About The Event

Join our new Bath group and be inspired by a talk on recovering from terminal cancer by Julie Mason.

MY LIFE IN MY HANDS: Cancer was their reality - not mine!

In 2016 after a routine hysterectomy, the consultant was in shock when Julie, aged 52 with an 11 year old daughter,  was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer which had metastasised.  She was told that she could have chemo, more surgery and radiotherapy but it wouldn’t cure her.  In fact she had a 23% chance of being here today (with various side effects and further tumours no doubt).  But none of it was a surprise to Julie who saw it as a chance to leave a loveless marriage and to make huge changes in her life.  Julie could share the array of things that she did from challenging diets to numerous therapies but the story she really wants to share with us is how she reconnected with spirit and the amazing things which followed.

Julie will walk us through her magical journey of manifestations, coincidences and intrigue plus a fascinating past life hypnotherapy session where she found herself in medieval France as the daughter of a nobleman – the story of which makes an extraordinary link to the cancer.

There will be the usual chance to ask questions afterwards, which we’re sure will be many.

Julie has had clear scans for nearly 3 year now and in vibrant health.

What people say...

"I was delighted to discover Mahwe. I knew as soon as I'd attended my first event and that this was something exciting. The deep focus on personal development, our human relationships and how we can be the best we can be, are so crucial to living a contented life in a complicated world. Mahwe encourages us to look inwards and outwards, and I find it helps me with setting the compass for what I know I need and want to do in many aspects of my life. As far as I'm concerned, it's good for the soul, heart, mind, body, wider community and environment! With themes for evening sessions like 'being happy', 'decluttering' and 'discovering our talents' as well as the occasional weekend walk to blow away the cobwebs, Mahwe is now a truly valued part of my Oxfordshire life." Mary, Oxford

"This is such a wonderful supportive community, where you find not only friendship but a range of life skills and knowledge shared. I always come away feeling uplifted!" Danie, Abingdon
