About The Event
Join us for an engaging evening on the power of compassion. We welcome Svetlina Jeanneret, co-founder of Mahwe to share her experience about how compassion can help us live better, happier lives.
COMPASSION: Unlocking the power to heal ourselves and our world
If there was a way to quieten your inner critic, increase your resilience and improve your relationships, would you want to know what it is?
When life gets tough, when we fail, when our relationships are complicated and when the world is divided, what we need is compassion. The practice of loving-kindness and compassion can change our inner and outer life and it also has the power to change our world.
In this talk, we will:
- explore what compassion really is
- get an understanding of the difference between sympathy, empathy and compassion
- discuss how anger can be experienced and expressed with compassion
- delve into the concept of non-violence
- how to develop qualities in ourselves that bring more self-compassion and harmony into our lives.
I hope that you will join us for this interactive and thought-provoking session. Who knows you might learn a thing or two that could come in handy over the Christmas period ;-)
See you there!
About Svetlina Jeanneret - www.svetlinajeanneret.co.uk
Svetlina has been working as a therapist since 2006, helping her clients to navigate the challenges of life, heal, gain clarity, rebuild their strength and supports them in making the positive changes in their life. Svetlina is particularly interested in relationships - how do we relate to ourselves, how do we interact with others - and she keeps asking how can we learn to develop more harmonious and fruitful relationships in our families and communities. In her private practice, she works with individuals, mothers and fathers, who are experiencing difficult life circumstances that often involve tension with other family members and helps them take positive steps toward a more satisfying life. Svetlina also co-founded Mahwe, a personal development community that offers a space for open and meaningful conversations, thought-provoking talks, learning, fun and friendship.
