About The Event

Join us and hear Claire Turnham's incredible journey standing up to Viagogo and leading a fight against unscrupulous tickets sales schemes. Claire's fight has so far raised £1.5 million in refunds for people who were conned by the ticketing giant.

STANDING UP: How one person can make a difference...

After being ripped off and getting refunded for tickets to an Ed Sheeran show, Claire Turnham founded Victim of Viagogo #VofV in February 2017 to support others in a similar situation.

Over the past 3 years, Claire has actively campaigned against the greed of industrial scale ticket touting, passionately raised global awareness across social media, championed for fairer, safer and clearer ticketing practice and most importantly helped thousands of people.

Claire’s Victim of Viagogo adventure started with her wish to help others. Intuitively, she felt it was important to stand up for fairness and justice and to speak out for others who had not been so fortunate.  To her children she wanted to model it is possible to act with kindness and integrity and ultimately to be the change we wish to see in the world.

She never imagined that her journey would lead her to work closely with Ed Sheeran’s team, guide thousands of fans to reclaim £1.5 million in refunds, be honoured by Amnesty International and be awarded an MBE.

Claire is a living example that one person can truly make a difference and ‘be the change they want to see in the world’. Join us to listen to her inspiring story and the lessons it has taught her (so far!).
