About The Event
Join our Abingdon group for a practical and insightful talk from Gavin Meikle how to give feedback in a way that propel us to do better.
FEEDBACK: Words that propel forward
We are all familiar with the phrase "Practice Makes Perfect" but is it accurate? Evidence from the field of Neuroscience suggests that a more accurate version would be "Practice Makes Permanent." Behaviours that we repeat become habitual and the problem with that is that it holds true whether we are practising helpful or unhelpful behaviours. Feedback is the key to ensuring that we focus on rehearsing the things that make us better. In this talk, Gavin will share some practical ways to help us give and get high-quality behavioural feedback that builds on our strengths to improve our performance, whatever we want to do.
